” My Golden Retriever Buddy is 13 years old and he has been going to Springfield Kennels since he was a puppy.
When we pull up in the driveway, he jumps out of the van and runs right down to the kennel; he knows the way. When we pick him up, he is happy to see us and sleeps for 2 to 3 days but is fine and usually has lost a few pounds (they make sure he has exercise and don’t over feed him). I would not hesitate to recommend Springfield Kennels to any of my friends for their dogs – and have done so. “

Amazing
” I had a previous kennel booked and they canceled on me last minute and Sarah was able to get me in. I was so happy my kennel canceled as this was far better, Harley was well looked after and had a great time. Sarah posted pictures on Facebook and it was so great being able to see Harley having a great time it really made my trip more enjoyable knowing that she was in great hands and when I would comment or send a message I got a response so quickly. I will never use another kennel again; this was the second time I left her and the first time she got home she was stressed and this time she was tired from all the play but in great spirits. Thank you again for the amazing job you did but I shouldn’t say job because you treat our furry babies as family and for that I am truly grateful. Look forward to the next time which is amazing as I always worry and for the first time I was at peace so again thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

” We were referred to Springfield Kennels by a friend of ours and we feel it is the best kennel in the Calgary area. We always feel comfortable and secure having our dog Logan board there. Logan is very athletic and requires a lot of exercise. He always jumps out of the car with excitement upon arrival, and comes home in excellent spirits.”

” I feel guilty bringing George back home to our boring old house after he’s had days of fun at Springfield. It’s a beautiful location. It’s not too big. They remember George. They can accommodate his special feeding (small dishes of rice am and pm). They pair him up with other old dogs. They post pictures of the dogs on Facebook so you can see them while you are away and know they are having fun. Their prices are reasonable. Employees are very kind and friendly.”

” I was so nervous at first to put my dog Bear in a kennel even though it was only for a couple of days. I was afraid because I didn’t think he was good around other dogs. Springfield Kennels is the most amazing place. After picking Bear up after 2 days and hearing all of the great stories of him playing with other dogs made me feel so comfortable and so proud!! This is such a great place and I’m so glad I have somewhere to take my dog!! Whether its when I go on vacation or just for a couple of days for him just to go and have fun. “I have been kenneling my dog at Springfield Kennels 2 weeks a month for the past 4 years. You will not find a nicer kennel than Springfield. The grounds and kennels are spacious and clean, with ample room for the dogs to run and socialize with one another. The managers are kind and accommodating. ” After being transferred to Calgary in 2011, we found Springfield Kennels’ website during an online search. We loved the fact we could do a viewing, and promptly made an appointment to see the facility. We were very impressed with the owner, the facilities, and the genuine interest in our dogs and their wellbeing. We were immediately put at ease with knowing our dogs would be well looked after here, and have been bringing our boys, Twister and Shaker here since then.
They are so excited when we arrive they could care less we are trying to say goodbye to them before we head off. They are only interested in seeing the other dogs. The exercise yard is huge, and they get to really socialize with other dogs on their own terms. It’s nice, too when all the little ones can mix together in the kennels. We absolutely love the photos posted on Facebook. Sara is great with dogs and a great photographer. It must be fun, and you can tell she loves what she does!
We’ve had to book in on short notice due to a death in the family out of town, and they were very accommodating. It was a positive experience in an otherwise difficult period of time. We never have a worry about the boys when we are going away as we know they are so well looked after. They do sleep for days after coming home as they are so pooped. We never hesitate to recommend Springfield Kennels whenever we are asked about a kennel, and are looking forward to our next visit in November.”

True Dog Lovers
“Recently, our 9 month Australian Shepherd mix Sam went to “camp”, as we called Springfield Kennels, for a little over 2 weeks. Before we left we visited several other kennels to find the one we thought Sam would be most happy at.
Springfield was our choice – You could tell Sara and Haven (and John) absolutely love dogs, and when we got a tour, the barking was noticeably “happy” barks and faces! We liked that it is a small facility in the country, so to speak, and it is obvious every dog is personal to them. The playtime in a pack outdoors was really important to us – the dogs get to be dogs! Apparently the dogs are grouped for play according to their temperaments and needs. Something else they do is frequently post photos of all the dogs playing, even some videos. It was the first time we’d been away from Sam and we were suffering from separation anxiety and guilt (he was having no such issues, apparently).
When we emailed to see how Sam was doing, we got a prompt reply reassuring us, and we could check every few days for the latest pictures of him having fun. We also noticed that most of their dogs are regular and repeat “guests”, so Sam is sure to meet some friends again!
